The paradox of home care

We live in an age in which our car warns us before our tire pressure becomes critical. Our smartwatch tells us when we haven’t slept well. But when it comes to our most vulnerable people – the elderly in home care – we are often flying blind.

We are heading towards a demographic reality in which there will simply not be enough places in care homes. “Outpatient before inpatient” is no longer just a political slogan, it is a necessity.
